A few days ago I taught an early morning private yoga class to a lovely group of 12 at the stunning venue, The Estate, in the Byron Bay hinterland.
This was a beginner’s Hatha yoga class where we explored a range of poses to improve strength, flexibility and balance. The practice concluded with a mindful breathing exercise and a Metta Bhavana practice (which best translates as ‘Loving-Kindness’ practice), before being rewarded with a long and relaxing Savasana (deep conscious relaxation).
